In order to better meet the needs of cold climate rose gardeners Star Roses Inc.(Conrad Pyle) has introduced a very wide range of their roses grown ownroot. These ownroot roses will over winter in very harsh climates and spring back to life much better than grafted or "budded" roses which are almost always on Dr. Huey Root Stock. Indeed many rose gardeners prefer to have their roses ownroot when ever possible. These ownroot roses may be bit smaller in bare root form. The ownroot roses will mature to the same stunning flowering beauties as the grafted plants, and as noted, actually perform better in tough winter climate gardens than the grafted plants.
